Brian Herman, CPA, MBA
Brian Herman, is the Founder and CEO of Valhalla Finance & Tax Advisory LLC, where he advises financial institutions on tax credit investments, community development finance, and strategic tax planning. With more than three decades of experience spanning investment banking, corporate finance, and public accounting, he has built deep expertise in structuring and evaluating complex tax-advantaged investments and loans. His work includes helping banks meet Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) objectives while generating strong economic, tax, and community impact outcomes. Before launching Valhalla, he spent much of his career in senior roles across the financial services industry, working extensively with institutional investors and tax credit syndicators.
Brian earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, with concentrations in finance and entrepreneurship. He graduated valedictorian from West Virginia University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting.
